After an exciting day getting outside enjoying some photo-walks along the Kissimmee River Basin, I was treated to a fantastic sunset. I stopped for a bite to eat in Sebring, FL while on my way back to South Florida during the early evening hours trying to kill some time waiting on the sunset. There are several beautiful lakes in the Sebring area, and after about 30 minutes of looking around for some cool shoot locations, I found one. The light was fading fast now, and the sun had just set below the horizon, so I had to quickly unpack my camera and tripod and start framing up some shots.
The lake was very glassy on the eastern shore where I was located, with some light winds further out over the western waters. Great sky colors were developing, and the glassy water surface was displaying awesome reflections of the light and structures. I shot about two dozen frames (including HD video) of the lake, including wide shots of the entire lake, and some with a dock nearby and a hotel on the horizon. So many of the pictures came out great, and I’ll add more to my photography gallery at a later time, but here’s one shot I really like and wanted to share with you all.
