Florida January Weather Very Mild

Amazing vivid cirrus clouds at sunrise to start the day off right.

While the nation has been experiencing extreme winter storms in the Pacific northwest, damaging dust storms in the southern Plains and violent tornadoes in the Deep South, the sunshine state has been under a very warm and stable weather pattern.

Mid January has brought normal very dry conditions to FL, but also this season, well above normal temperatures compared to last winter. There is a chance of rain and possible severe storms moving into the region late in the week, but at this time it's hard to know if all the upper-level support will track off to the north. We really could use the rain.
