The trend continues again later this afternoon and evening, with another round of heavy shower and thunderstorms expected to move through the region. The last 3 days have brought evening lightning storms to interior locations of Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade Counties.
These storms have developed well inland and tracked towards the larger populated area's of South Florida by sunset. Heavy rainfall, gusty winds (sometimes severe) and dangerous lightning have been the norm this past week. Tonight looks to be similar to last 72 hours, with a slight drying trend going into Father's Day Weekend. The wet season is definitely into full swing for the southern half of the state, and hopefully some of the drought stricken regions of the western coast can pick up some rainfall over the weekend.
Happy Father's Day and Go Miami Heat!!!
